We are proud to be a part of a great team that strives for excellence.
Through determined effort and a strong multi team approach, the Marlborough Primary Health Organisation has excelled in the latest round of Ministry Health Target results.
Marlborough was the only primary health organisation in New Zealand to rank in the top five across the Ministry of Health's three key performance indicators between April and June this year.
Marlborough ranked fifth out of New Zealand's 36 primary health organisations in each of the key categories of immunisation, heart and diabetes checks and help for smokers to quit.
Marlborough Primary Health Organisation chairman David Taylor said it was an "exceptional result" achieved through collaboration and hard work in Marlborough general practices. The aim was to make sure that activities that contributed to the results became "business as usual", David said. "It's about making sure we stay at that level and keep it up." The data gave people an idea of how their primary health organisation was performing compared to others, David said. "Hopefully it gives the population confidence that we're working hard for them".
